Adult Sailing Program Classes:

Wednesday Learn to Sail

If you have light skills or none at all, this class promises to be education and fun!  You will get comfortable and competent at rigging/de-rigging and sailing our Ideal 18s.  Enjoy the summer evening breezes and return to shore for some nibbles and beverages, as you socialize with your fellow classmates.  Open for adults and children ages 12 and up. Max of 16 sailors.

Dates:  6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23 and 7/30

(Make up rain dates on Thursdays)

Time:  6-7:30 p.m.

Cost: $425 for members ($550 for non-members)

Saturday Morning Ladies Clinic*

Learn to sail or enhance your sailing skills while socializing with fellow female Rocky members (and friends of members).  When you return to shore, enjoy light nibbles and a beverage.  The last day of ladies’ clinic will feature the third annual Race for the Rose, a super fun regatta, with t-shirts for all and prizes for the winning boat(s).

 Dates: 6/28, 7/5, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2

Time:  9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Cost: $425 for members ($550 for non-members)

*Program registration includes entry into all regattas.

Gatehouse Rentals

• Laser Sailboat: $15/hour

• Kayaks and Paddle Boards: $10/hour

Hourly Rental for Certified Skippers

In addition to the above program offerings, the Club’s Ideal 18s are available for use for an hourly rental fee ($25/hr) by any member who has been certified as a Skipper. Private lessons are also available from any of our instructors.

PLEASE NOTE:  In order to use one of the Club’s Ideal 18s you must be a CERTIFIED SKIPPER and sign the FLEET USAGE AGREEMENT.  This must be done EVERY YEAR so that we can keep the registry current.
